Within the concern of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, and as part of the efforts exerted by the Southern Governorate to combat the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the Governorate conducted a pre-emptive disinfection campaign at several public facilities in Riffa area, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defence in the Ministry of Interior.

On this occasion, Mr. Mohammed Hassan Al Faw, Director of Social Programmes and Community Affairs at the Southern Governorate, said the campaign is part of a series of similar campaigns that include different parts of the governorate, adding that the implementation of the campaigns comes within the concern of HH the Southern Governor to highlight security partnership, and protect and raise awareness between citizens and residents.

For his part, Captain Mohammed Abdulrahman Bushlaibi, Security Coordination Officer at the Governorate, confirmed that the campaigns are continuing to ensure that safety requirements are met through cooperation with Civil Defence personnel to implement the Governorate's security programmes and initiatives that are aimed at ensuring the achievement of community partnership with the society and volunteers.

The public security personnel and volunteers who participated in the campaign expressed thanks and appreciation to the efforts exerted by the Southern Governorate to continue implementing leading security and community initiatives.
