His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Southern Governor, has held a virtual meeting to discuss security and precautionary initiatives across the Governorate in the presence of His Excellency Brigadier Isa Thamer Abdulla Al Dossari, the Deputy Southern Governor as well as HE Engineer Asim Abdullatif Abdullah, the Director General of the Municipality of the Southern Region and HE Lt-Col. Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Riffa Police Station Chief and other public officials.

At the beginning of the meeting, HH the Southern Governor underlined the importance of continuing adopting preventative measures in coordination with the Riffa Police Station and the Municipality of the Southern Region. He also stressed the needs of reducing the overcrowding labour accommodations which accounts for 60% of the population of Riffa. He also valued the efforts of the security officers and the volunteers for their active participation in cementing social partnership and delivering its values and principles.

Meanwhile, the Southern Governor reviewed a virtual presentation projected by Riffa Police Station which featured the preventative measures adopted by the Station to combat Covid-19.

From their side, the attendees valued the important role being played by HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa in following-up the implementation of the precautionary measures to fight the spread of the virus.
