His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, chaired a remote coordination meeting to follow up on the Governorate's development projects of public facilities.

The Meeting was attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Eng. Asim Abdullatif Abdullah, Director-General of the Southern Area Municipality, Eng. Rawiya Al Mannai, Assistant Undersecretary for Joint Municipal Services, and Dr. Abdulaziz Abdul Karim Assistant Undersecretary for Agricultural Affairs, as well as senior officials from the Governorate.

HH Shaikh Khalifa appreciated the role of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning and the Southern Area Municipality for cooperation in following up on the citizens' needs, in relation to development of public facilities, such as "Ain Al Hanania" natural water spring and "Ain Umm Ghowaifa" natural water spring and park, as part of the pioneering development projects in the governorate.

HH the Southern Governor affirmed the historical importance of these projects to the governorate's resides and he underlined the importance of following up with the concerned authorities in the development stages of the progress, in order to meet the citizens' aspirations.

HH Shaikh Khalifa was briefed about the municipality's plan for the next stages of developing both projects, in addition to the other public facilities of the governorate.

The attendees praised the prominent role played by HH the Southern Governor for following up on the developing projects and communicating with citizens effectively.
