His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, launched the "Southern Governorate Smart Office" initiative, in the presence of Brigadier Isa bin Thamer Al Doseri, Deputy Governor.

During the launch ceremony, HH Shaikh Khalifa asserted that the initiative comes within the Governorate's constant strives to enhance communication with the residents of the Governorate and provide smart services for their benefit.

His Highness said the new electronic service highlights the security and social services of the Governorate, adding that it comes within the efforts to promote innovation and creativity using smart applications.

HH the Southern Governor also pointed to the Southern Governorate self-service application, as well as the National Suggestion and Complaint System “Tawasul” and the "Smart Map" app, which displays innovated services of the most prominent existing projects and public and service facilities in the governorate.

By the end of the ceremony, HH Shaikh Khalifa toured the "Southern Governorate Smart Office", where His Highness was briefed about the electronic services provided to citizens, the goals for which the Office was established, and how self-services for visitors are implemented.
