HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor has chaired the 9th Coordination Meeting which took place virtually in the presence of HE Brigadier Isa Thamer Al Dosary Deputy Southern Governor as well as representatives from various parties. 

At the beginning of the meeting, HH welcomed the attendees, valuing the coordination and cooperation between the Governorate and various agencies to achieve community partnership among all parties in an effort to bolster security and safety as well as follow-up to the security situation and take necessary measures to combat the spread of the Coronavirus "Covid-19". 

Moreover, HH the Southern Governor discussed increasing the number of entries for ِAl Hajeeyat housing in block 939 in coordination with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning. "The area is witnessing population density and new entries to the block will contribute to reducing traffic congestion and jams," HH Shaikh Khalifa said. 

Meanwhile, HH the Southern Governor was briefed on the development phases of Shaikh Humood bin Subah Avenue in East Riffa, as well as the ongoing rehabilitation works in several vital roads in Riffa, including in Mashtan Avenue,  Al Haneniya Avenue, Umm Al Nassan Avenue.

On the other hand, HH the Southern Governor praised the decision to relocate food trucks that were on Al Istiqlal street to the area opposite to the Bahrain National Stadium. And he instructed to have all food trucks correcting their situation in accordance with the local laws. 

Furthermore, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa was informed about the development and maintenance plan of the Zallaq stadium in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs. And HH the Southern Governor stressed the importance of completing this project in line with the aspirations of the people living in the Governorate. 

At the end of the meeting, HH the Southern Governor empathised the significance of preparing for the rainy season, stating that radical solutions are needed to address the core issues facing the society in this period of the year. From their side, the attendees expressed utmost appreciation to the Southern Governorate for adopting programmes and initiatives that contribute to increasing awareness among the public, valuing its keenness to establish constant contact to address various issues.
