His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Ali Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, met a number of the citizens through the "Virtual Majlis", in the presence of HE Asim Abdullatif, Director-General of the Southern Area Municipality, Brigadier Isa Thamer Al Dosari, Deputy Southern Governor and a number of senior officers and Governorate officials.

His Highness welcomed the attendees and praised the lofty speech delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, during the opening of the third session of the fifth legislative term of the National Assembly (Shura and Representatives Councils) and HM the King's enlightened vision and wise approach to prosperity and progress.

HH Shaikh Khalifa also appreciated the leading role of the Respected Government, spearheaded by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, in supporting government work to achieve comprehensive development, progress and growth.

His Highness affirmed that the Excellence Award in Communication with Customers for the year 2020, which the Governorate was recently awarded, is a prominent indicator of the governmental role played by the Southern Governorate in coordination and effective community partnership, in order to serve citizens and residents, in implementation of the directives of HE General Shaikh Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, with the aim of achieving the visions and aspirations of citizens and residents and to follow up on their needs.

HH the Southern Governor also praised the active role of citizens and residents, and their contribution to effectively lodging complaints and proposals digitally, stressing that the Governorate is keen to follow the preventive and precautionary measures to provide the best services to its visitors.

For their part, the attendees expressed thanks and appreciation for the efforts exerted by His Highness to provide the best services in various fields, through continuously discussing issues related to people needs and demands, as well as the continuous communication role through the available channels provided by the Governorate, following modern standards and optimal investment to achieve comprehensive development in the various areas within the governorate.
