Southern Governorate Launches Unique Programme to Enhance Security Culture Among Youth

The Southern Governorate has launched the 2nd HH Southern Governor Security and Social Programme which will be held virtually. The event comes as part of HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor’s keenness to cement security awareness and the community partnership principle among youth through various workshops and symposiums.

Commenting on this, HH the Southern Governor affirmed that the second edition comes following the tremendous success achieved in the first edition of the programme as the people of the Governorate met the initiative with warm applause. He further explained that this programme is considered the first of its kind to enhance public knowledge about security culture in an effort to have them educated about security and community responsibility.

From his side, Mr. Mohammed Hassan Al Faw, Head of the Social and Society Affairs Programmes at the Southern Governorate further explained that the event has witnessed a great turnout from the people of the Governorate, as the number of participants reached 60 of both genders.

Meanwhile, Captain Mohammed Abdulrahman Bushlaibi, Security Coordination Officer at the Governorate pointed out that the programme mainly focuses on bolstering security and stability through voluntary initiatives. He stated that the programme provides youth with key information on how to protect their safety.

It’s worth noting that the programme is being executed in collaboration with various government agencies, including the Royal Police Academy, the General Directorate of Traffic, the General Directorate of Civil Defence, Community Police Directorate, and the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security.
