Southern Governorate Launches Several Leading Initiatives and Programmes During the Holy Month of Ramadan

In implantation of the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, the Southern Governorate organised a number of leading initiatives and programmes throughout Ramadan, having a positive impact on citizens and residents during the Holy Month.

Commenting on this occasion, Mr. Mohammed Hassan Al Faw, Director of Social Programmes and Community Affairs at the Governorate, asserted that the initiatives launched by the Governorate this year reflects the endless support of HH the Southern Governor, adding that His Highness's directives shed light on the importance of community partnership in security and community fields, resulting in strengthening bonds between citizens, residents and the Governorate, and at the same time enhancing cooperation between the Governorate and institutions in the security, private and social sectors.

Mr. Al Faw explained that the "Majlat Alkhair" initiative, which was organised for the third consecutive year as per the directives of HH Shaikh Khalifa, has benefitted 700 families in 25 areas within the Governorate, reinforcing the noble values and teachings of Islam and the Bahraini customs and traditions.

Commenting further, Mr. Al Faw pointed out that to the coordination and partnership with social institutions, highlighting the benevolent gesture of His Highness to donate 60 laptops to students in the governorate, in coordination with Al Mabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation.

He also noted to the 10,000 facemasks received by the Governorate from Equivaa Medical Trading Company, adding that the donation came as part of the ongoing partnership and cooperation with the different institutions of the public and private sectors.

Mr. Al Faw mentioned that the Governorate continues its endeavours to enforce community partnership to promote preventive and cultural practices. He added that this has been represented through the initiative of the Southern Governorate to donate 2,750 medical facemasks to the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, an initiative that reflects the coordination and cooperation to promote health awareness and precautions in the governorate.
