His Highness Shiakh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, has recently chaired the security meeting, which was held online, in the presence of Brigadier Isa Thamer Al Dosari, Deputy Southern Governor, and Colonel Abdullah bin Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Director General of the Southern Governorate Police, in addition to a number of senior officers and officials.

In the meeting, His Highness lauded the ongoing coordination and cooperation between the Governorate and the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, Community Police Unit and the residents and citizens within the governorate.

HH Shaikh Khalifa reviewed a visual presentation demonstrated by Captain Mohammed Abdulrahman Bushlaibi, Security Coordination Officer at the Governorate. The presentation included the main initiatives launched by the Governorate, in cooperation with the Directorate, within the national campaign of "Feena Khair", which reflected social and humanitarian partnership during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Capt. Bushlaibi highlighted that 314,000 iftar meals were distributed in 12 points across the governorate since the beginning of May.

HH the Southern Governor followed up on the security, precautionary and preventive measures taken by the Directorate, as well as the efforts exerted to reduce overcrowding in expatriate labourers' accommodations in the different areas of the governorate, in which 258 buildings were detected and warnings have been sent to the owners of 80 violating buildings.

His Highness was also briefed about the results of the latest statistics that are related to security cases, which witnessed a decrease of 44.6 per cent during Ramadan, in comparison with the same period of the previous year.
