As part of the Southern Governorate’s commitment to adopt many virtual initiatives and within its efforts to serve people’s needs, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, affirmed that the Governorate will maintain links with the citizens via innovative communication channels, describing this as a firm approach towards helping the citizens and residents of the Governorate to meet their needs. 

HH Shaikh Khalifa pointed out that the Governorate is witnessing the launch of several unique initiatives that keep pace with the modern e-communications and digital transformation, as this comes within the framework of strengthening communication channels with people.

HH the Southern Governor further explained that the Governorate had addressed 1963 inquiries in the period between January and August this year, stating that 60 per cent of the citizens and people’s security and community needs were received through the weekly “Virtual Majlis”, which is considered one of the important tools to determine the essentials of those living in the Governorate and an extension of the weekly “Majlis” initiative.

His Highness commented: “Our efforts to introduce innovative channels to receive the inquiries and requests of the Governorate’s people will continue as part of our role as the focal point with the various security and executive agencies and the citizens. We want to give the best to our people by fulfilling their aspirations and meeting their needs, as well as reflecting the modern image of the Southern Governorate across our beloved Kingdom.”.
