His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Southern Governor, met with Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works, to discuss developments in service and development projects in the governorate to meet the needs of residents. The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat and Shaikh Mishaal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Works.

HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali confirmed that the service and development projects in the Southern Governorate reflect the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and are in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to provide and develop essential services across all governorates, contributing to comprehensive development and improving quality of life.

HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali reviewed a report on the main service and development needs and the progress of projects underway in the governorate. His Highness commended the level of coordination with the ministry to track needs and ensure that projects meet the goals of comprehensive development in line with the governorate’s priorities and residents’ expectations.

On his part, Minister Al Hawaj underlined the ministry’s commitment to continuing cooperation with the Southern Governorate to implement service and development projects to the highest standards, enhancing infrastructure and meeting citizens’ expectations. He noted that the ministry is pressing ahead with current projects and following up on future plans that will support Bahrain’s overall development.
