HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor has met through video call with several Ma'atams' heads in the presence of His Excellency Brigadier Isa Thamer Abdulla Al Dossari, Deputy Southern Governor as well as high-ranking security officials at the Governorate. 

At the beginning of the meeting, HH the Southern Governor welcomed the attendees, highlighting the prominent role of security in organising the Ashura season. He also stressed the importance of adopting preventative and precautionary measures against the spread of the novel Coronavirus "Covid-19". 

Moreover, he underlined the Southern Governorate's keenness to follow-up with various security departments to hold the Ashura season while abiding by the public health guidelines and distancing measures. He concluded by emphasising on the importance of implementing security and precautionary measures in order to reflect the community awareness and unity.
