His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, and on behalf of the residents of the governorate, has expressed sincere gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of pardoning and implementing the alternative punishments systems for 1,486 inmates, affirming that the decision is a noble and humanitarian gesture.

HH the Southern Governor lauded the Royal decisions, represented by pardoning the inmates, adding that it would strengthen national cohesion among the members of the society and reflects the fatherly wisdom and humanitarian side of HM the King.

His Highness stressed the loyalty and love of the residents of the Southern Governorate to HM the King and their appreciation to His Majesty's humanitarian and historic decisions.
