His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, recently received Eng. Assem Abdullatif Abdulla, Director General of Southern Area Municipality, and Lieutenant-Chief Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chief of Riffa Police Station, to discuss and follow up on the measures taken to reduce the numbers of expatriates at labour camps within the governorate.

During the meeting, His Highness stressed the importance of following up on the directives issued by His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, Minister of Interior, stressing the importance of cooperation between the Southern Governorate, Southern Area Municipality and the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, and to intensify security control on joint residences and labour camps.

HH the Southern Governor was briefed about the results of the field survey which was conducted by the Southern Governorate, in cooperation with the Southern Governorate Police Directorate and other security bodies across the governorate.
