His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor chaired a remote meeting of the Coordination Council with the participation of members representing different parties.

By the beginning of the meeting, HH Shaikh Khalifa welcomed the attendees, praising synergised efforts to provide the best services for citizens in the Southern Governorate.

His Highness followed up on the services, social and developmental needs of the residents of Askar, Jau and Al Dur areas, including several projects that are being carried out, such as the Khalifa Town Health Centre, which is a leading health project that will serve the area in accordance to the highest quality standards, and Al Dur occasions' hall to fulfil the social needs of the residents of the area, as well as other essential projects.

HH the Southern Governor was briefed about the work progress of developing King Hamad Highway and the infrastructure projects in the area, in coordination with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

HH Shaikh Khalifa also lauded the active role of the General Directorate of Civil Defence, the Southern Governorate Police Directorate and volunteers in promoting the principle of community partnership and cooperation in fighting coronavirus across the governorate.

Council members expressed gratitude and appreciation to His Highness's efforts and constant follow up on the different projects and initiatives that support the development of the governorate.
