HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor has met several people of the Governorate through the Virtual Majlis; a technology designed to allow people meet through video call with the Governorate’s officials on a weekly-basis. The event was attended by several officials and police officers from the Governorate.

At the beginning of the meeting, HH the Southern Governor underlined the importance of the Virtual Majlis in bolstering ties with citizens and the people of the Governorate which comes as part of the vision of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the strategies and plans of the Government under the chairmanship of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

He also affirmed the keenness of the Governorate to continue its efforts towards cementing community partnership and mutual security cooperation in implementation of the directives of HE Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to raise security and community awareness and take the required preventative measures to combat Covid-19.

Furthermore, he pointed out that the Governorate will continue monitoring the needs of the people through the field visits being made to follow-up to the progress of the development projects in the Governorate.

On their part, the attendees have expressed their appreciation and gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa for his keenness to establish links with people of the Governorate, adding that this reflects his desire to continue launching security and development initiatives to showcase the modern side of the Governorate.
