His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor held a telephone call with the HE Ms. Yuriko Koike, Tokyo Governor, and congratulated her on the occasion of winning the recently-held 2020 Tokyo gubernatorial election.

During the telephone conversation, HH Shaikh Khalifa stressed the depth of the Bahraini-Japanese relations, highlighting the means to bolster cooperation between the Southern Governorate and Tokyo across various fields.

The Tokyo Governor expressed thanks and appreciation to HH the Southern Governor for congratulating her on her victory, praising His Highness's interest in enhancing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Empire of Japan.
