His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate and Chairman of the Security Committee, chaired the committee’s tenth meeting for 2025, attended by Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, Deputy Governor, and senior officers from the Ministry of Interior.

HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali commended the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, to strengthen community engagement, praising the efforts of security agencies in maintaining safety and stability across the governorate.

He affirmed the committee’s commitment to addressing residents’ security needs in coordination with relevant authorities, reinforcing community partnership and proactive security measures.

The meeting reviewed recent Civil Defence campaigns, with HH Shaikh Khalifa emphasising continued cooperation to enhance safety and public awareness.  He also praised the General Directorate of Traffic for its role in improving road safety through patrols and awareness initiatives.

A presentation by the Security Coordination Officer highlighted key public proposals and security-related reports received through the "Tawasul" platform, which will be followed up by the committee to ensure timely responses.
