Southern Governor attends 10th anniversary of Elderly Women Care Centre

His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Southern Governor, attended the 10th anniversary celebration of Dar Al Berr for Elderly Women Care, held at the Shaikha Hessa bint Ali Al Khalifa Centre for Elderly Women Care, in conjunction with the International Day of Older Persons.

The event was attended by officials, representatives of civil society institutions, and members of the local community.

HH the Governor affirmed the importance of community partnership in enhancing public services and supporting charitable and social initiatives, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali praised the Centre’s efforts in providing care and support for senior citizens, noting that such initiatives reflect humanitarian values and social responsibility. He also honoured supporters of the Centre and Dar Al Berr, and was recognised in appreciation of his own contributions.

The ceremony included a documentary presentation on the Centre’s establishment, followed by a tour of its facilities and activities for senior women, such as traditional crafts and handicrafts, which contribute to promoting national identity, citizenship, and community health.
