Under the generous auspices of His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Higher Committee for Information and Communication Technology, the Southern Governorate will launch a smart application under the name of "Southern" as part of the governorate’s continuous efforts to enhance communication, spread smart services and improve the quality of services available to people, citizens and various segments of society.

On this occasion, His Highness the Governor of the Southern Governorate praised His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister for his generous auspices, expressing great pride for this auspices, which underlines the importance of launching the Southern Application as a successful addition to the innovative communication packages. His Highness said that the application of “Southern” reflects the continuous efforts exerted by the governorate to activate smart services in all areas of the province, and enhance the quality of services provided to people, citizens and community groups, starting from the approach of direct and permanent communication with them, and simplify and facilitate procedures to save time and effort on them, in line with His Highness's vision on the importance of providing the best smart services and outstanding experiences.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa pointed out that the launch of this technology reflects the objectives of the governorate to provide its services in accordance with the highest international standards and using the latest technologies that enhance the mechanism and efficiency of providing services that meet the expectations of the people. His Highness added that this service is an integral part of a long series of smart civilized and modern services provided by the southern governorate to the citizens, with regard to innovative procedures and services in this area. He also called for the investment of this application in order to benefit from the interactive electronic services quickly and easily.
