Under the patronage of Southern Governor, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Southern Governorate today held a virtual meeting entitled “Safety in Summer”, as part of the ongoing partnership and cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defence.

HH the Governor, Deputy Southern Governor, Brigadier Isa Thamer Al-Dossari, officers, officials and representatives of the civil society organisations participated in the remote meeting.

HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali stressed the Southern Governorate’s keenness to consolidate community partnership, and strengthen the pillars of security and safety through adopting and embracing purposeful awareness-raising programmes, in line with the directives of Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, to continue coordination and cooperation with various security authorities, and spread awareness on safety across various regions of the Governorate.

HH indicated that the ongoing cooperation between the Southern Governorate and the General Directorate of Civil Defence has yielded fruitful results at all levels, citing the launch of successful security initiatives, campaigns and programme to promote the security and safety culture among members of the community.
