His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, visited the Eastern Riffa, where he inspected many facilities and the needs of the people, as part of a series of inspection visits by His Highness to various areas of the province to review the security and service conditions and the status of vital and public facilities.
At the beginning of the visit, His Highness the Governor of the Southern Governorate started his visit to the East Riffa Police Station where he was received by Lieutenant Colonel Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Head of East Riffa Police Station and a number of officers. Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior to follow up the needs of the security and social people and strengthen the partnership between the province and the various security agencies.
His Highness followed the project of distributing security cameras in the area in addition to a number of joint achievements in the field of security, directing the need to intensify security patrols and foot in the region to meet the needs of citizens, and the Riffa East police station gave a presentation on the most important security statistics related to the region.
His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa also visited the East Riffa Market, where he was received by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of Agriculture and Marine Resources at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs and a number of officials. The Ministry, on the development and renewal of the market to suit the needs of citizens and market participants, directed His Highness to improve the market to make it compatible with the model markets that befit the cultural and developmental orientation of the region as it is among the priorities that achieve the visions and aspirations of the people, in a way that serves the urban expansion in the region.
He concluded his inspection visit to the eastern Riffa, visiting historical sites and houses that constitute an important cultural heritage, where he discussed the priority of the development of these sites and the upgrading of the province's historical and cultural achievements.
