Within a series of visits to stand on the services and security initiatives, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, visited the area of West Riffa, accompanied by Eng. Assim Abdulateef, Sothern Area Municipality Director General, Lieutenant-Colonel Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Riffa Police Station Chief, Mr. Abdullah Ahmed Bubshait, Municipal Council member, and a number of senior officers and officials.
During the visit, HH Shaikh Khalifa was briefed about the work progress in natural water springs project in Riffa, including the developmental projects of "Ain Umm Guwaifa" water spring and garden, and Al Hunainiya water spring and park. His Highness stressed the significance of preserving natural water springs considering its key role in serving the ancestors and people of the area, adding that they are a historical and natural heritage.
HH the Southern Governor noted to the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the Southern Governorate and the relevant authorities, resulting in forming projects for developing natural and historical water springs in a civilized and aesthetic image.
Meanwhile, HH Shaikh Khalifa followed up on the security initiatives in Riffa, such as the "Salamat Darbak" road safety initiative, which is set to reinforce social-security partnership and has provided the latest safety patterns in the main roads of Riffa, such as pedestrian crossing points and awareness campaigns.
For their part, the officers and officials praised the leading role of HH Shaikh Khalifa in following up on the services and security initiatives in Riffa and the different areas of the Southern Governorate, and instructing the concerned bodies to implement a number of developmental projects.
