His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, received in his weekly 'majlis' a number of citizens of the Southern Governorate, senior officials, high rank officers and journalists.

During the meeting, HH Shaikh Khalifa affirmed that the Southern Governorate, and in implementation of the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, has adopted several security initiatives in cooperation with all the security authorities, with the aim of supporting the efforts exerted to reinforce security and community partnership to achieve stability and security across the governorate.

HH the Governor highlighted that several security initiatives and programmes were successfully implemented by the Southern Governorate in cooperation with the security authorities, including the installation of surveillance cameras, marking pedestrian crossing lines and organising a series of awareness programmes to raise public awareness and enhance community partnership values among the residents of the governorate.

His Highness underlined the essential role played by the Southern Governorate linking residents and all the services bodies and following up on the projects that fulfils their requirements in the governorate, adding that two major services and developmental projects to be implemented in the governorate in the upcoming future; the construction of Khalifa City Health City and a multipurpose occasions hall in Al Dur village.

On their part, the attendees expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalifa for his endless support and concern by meeting the residents of the governorate in his weekly 'majlis' and discussing all their needs, issues and requirements. They also underscored the remarkable developmental process the governorate is witnessing, reflecting the civil development of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
