Southern Governor His Highness Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa chaired the sixth periodic meeting of the security committee.

 Deputy Southern Governor Brigadier Isa Thamer Al Dosari attended the virtual session which was held via video conference, along with officers representing security directorates at the Ministry of Interior.

 HH Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa stressed the drive to enhance public awareness into combating the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and protecting the health and safety of individuals and society.

 He underlined continued coordination with competent authorities in charge of following up the implementation of precautionary measures and health protocols, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

 He was updated about the efforts of the Southern Police Directorate as well as security plans to take precautionary measures and intensify awareness campaigns.

 He was also briefed about the efforts and achievements accomplished by the General Directorate of Civil Defence during the first half year, as well as plans to enhance safety awareness during summer.
