His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, recently chaired the fourth meeting of the Security Committee in the Southern Governorate, in a presence of senior police officers and officials.

In the meeting, HH Shaikh Khalifa hailed the exceptional efforts exerted in coordination between the different security bodies and the Governorate to prepare facilities to host expatriate labourers.

HH the Southern Governor also reviewed the preparations of the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, simultaneously with the advent of the last ten days of the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr, discussing the precautionary measures taken to curb gatherings and overcrowding to protect the safety of residents and citizens.

HH Shaikh Khalifa noted to the ongoing close cooperation between the Governorate and the General Directorate of Traffic to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the vital areas within the governorate, including Mashtan Road, Riffa Highway, Majid bin Nasser Al Nuaimi Road in West Riffa and more areas that witness high traffic flow.

By the end of the meeting, the attendees expressed gratitude and appreciation to His Highness for his keenness to follow up on the results of joint work between the related parties in the deifferent security initiatives and programmes.
