Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Coordination Council, chaired today the council’s first meeting in its third session for 2023. The online meeting was attended by representatives of various government bodies.

HH the Southern Governor welcomed the audience, stressing that continuous com, Communication with citizens is a constant approach to reach out to them and cater to their needs in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also commended the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HH the Southern Governor praised the efforts of all representatives of the government bodies which enabled the Coordination Council to bring about many achievements in 2022 through the issuance of 79 recommendations. He pointed out that those recommendations received 98% response from the government bodies which reflects keenness to concretize them.

Then, the council reviewed development plans by the Southern Region Municipality, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Works.

The Southern Governorate also reviewed a report on the results of the field visit of its team to Zallaq area and the proposals to develop many facilities there to meet citizens’ needs and aspirations.
