In the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, the Rayat Scholarship Programme of Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation organised the “Rayat Al Watan” Forum at the Foundation’s headquarters.
On the occasion, His Highness the Southern Governor expressed pride in participating in the national forum, noting the Southern Governorate’s continued commitment to supporting youth, based on their central role in building the present and shaping the future. He indicated that this approach reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, through national initiatives in education, employment and innovation, aimed at empowering Bahraini youth to contribute effectively to comprehensive development.
His Highness commended the role of Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation as a leading national institution in the educational and social fields in the Southern Governorate. He highlighted the support of Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, and the Foundation’s efforts in supporting and empowering youth. He also welcomed the opening of the Foundation’s headquarters, noting its role in skills development and capacity building.
The Southern Governor underlined the importance of community partnership and communication as core principles of the Ministry of Interior, supported and followed up by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. He highlighted cooperation with the Foundation in implementing several community initiatives, including the Healthy Cities Programme, through which the Southern Governorate recently obtained accreditation as a Healthy Governorate.
HH Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa said that the forum aligns with Bahrain’s vision of investing in human capital and enabling youth to be active partners in sustainable development. She explained that the forum aims to equip young people with practical skills and knowledge to enhance their readiness for the labour market.
The forum targeted graduates of Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation seeking employment, as well as university students affiliated with the Foundation. It focused on labour market requirements, interview preparation and career development through specialised workshops and training sessions, in addition to meetings with representatives of national institutions and companies.
The forum addressed three main themes, including artificial intelligence and its applications, practical guidance for career entry, and building future career pathways from planning to implementation.
