His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace today a number of citizens from the Southern Governorate who expressed utmost thanks for the care accorded by HM the King to citizens in the governorate and for the development projects carried out in all fields.

 HM the King praised contribution of citizens in the Southern Governorate to the kingdom’s development process, commending their honorable national stances. He stressed Bahrain’s success in handling the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and bringing life back to normal. He underlined the importance of such meetings which are regarded as a continuous heritage and a driving force to go ahead with the national development march. He also commended the role of the fathers and forefathers in laying down the foundations of the kingdom’s growth thanks to their dedication and patriotism.

 HM the King praised the honorable stances of the Bahraini people throughout the kingdom’s history which enabled Bahrain to surmount many challenges.

 The poet Ali Ahmed Ali Al Romaihi recited a poem before HM the King on the occasion.

 For their part, the citizens from the Southern Governorate extended sincere thanks and gratitude to HM the King for the meeting which embodies keenness on communication with citizens. They wished HM the King abundant health and happiness and every success in leading the kingdom to more growth and prosperity.
