Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received at his weekly Majlis dignitaries, senior officials and Interior Ministry officers. He welcomed them, stressing the importance of the governoate’s Majlis in boosting communication and cementing social links with citizens. He described this approach as a reflection of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

 The Southern Governor stressed the governorate’s keenness to adopt security initiatives through direct coordination with various security bodies, in line with the directives of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. He pointed out the governorate’s keenness on implementing more development and services projects to meet citizen’s aspirations. He also underlined the historical and cultural importance of the Southern Governorate and the need to preserve its landmarks to promote its status as a cultural and tourism destination.

 The audience thanked the Southern Governor for his direct meetings with citizens and interest in promoting the approach of communication with them. They described his Majlis as a unique platform to exchange views and assess citizens’ needs.
