Service projects across the Southern Governorate are given priority by the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects, through constant follow-up on their implementation progress to cope with the demographic expansion there, especially after the opening of the Khalifa Town and the citizens’ beginning to move and live there, Deputy Prime Minister and the Committee Chairman, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, said.

 The committee’s keenness to follow up on the Southern Governorate’s projects is in line with His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s interest and sound directives which reflect the citizens’ needs and embody the government’s pledges in its action plan until 2022 to continue developing infrastructure across the kingdom to support sustainable development, and positive economic growth, as well as continue delivering quality social, health, educational and housing services with high efficiency, the Deputy Prime Minister said.

 This came as the Deputy Premier received Southern Governor, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and a number of officials at the governorate, at the Gudaibiya Palace today.

 Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla was informed about the service projects being followed up by the Southern Governorate, in coordination with the relevant ministries and government departments, commending the efforts exerted by HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali to improve services and develop infrastructure across the Governorate.

 HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali expressed thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister for the importance attached to service projects in the Southern Governorate by the of the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects, under his leadership.

 He asserted that the service projects are decided following direct meetings with the citizens, and then they are translated into the ground, in coordination with the competent authorities.
