Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, inaugurated today a virtual 3D exhibition held by the Southern Governorate marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2021. The inauguration was attended by Deputy Southern Governor Brigadier Isa Thamer Al Dosari, representatives from various directorates at the Interior Ministry and senior officials from the Southern Governorate.
HH the Southern Governor commended the directives of Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to promote stability, security, community partnership and national belonging through the implementation of diverse awareness programmes. He praised the efforts of the security directorates, the competent authorities and the civil society institutions to combat drug abuse and protect youngsters from it.
HH the Southern Governor stressed the governorate’s support to the national efforts to combat drug abuse by involving citizens in awareness initiatives aimed at promoting community partnership in fighting this phenomenon.
Then, HH the Southern Governor pressed the inauguration button of the virtual exhibition signaling the launch of the exhibition which aims to boost awareness of the dangers of drug abuse and its bad impact on the individual and the community.
It is worth noting that the virtual exhibition is an excellent opportunity to enhance the mechanisms of communication and joint cooperation to boost security and community awareness among citizens.
