Under the patronage the His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, the Southern Governorate organised His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Quran Competition, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, in the presence of dignitaries. The initiative comes within the frame of caring for promoting Quran recitation and memorisation among the citizens and residents of the governorate.
Goals:
1. Support and encouragements of the recitation and memorisation of the Holy Quran and spread its teachings.
2. Encouraging the spirit of competition among the residents and citizens of the governorate during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
3. Adopting charity and religious initiatives that benefit the people of the governorate.
