Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, chaired the annual coordination meeting which was held virtually in preparation for Ashoora season (1443 Hijri).

The meeting was held in the presence of the Deputy Southern Governor Brigadier Isa Thamer Al Doseri, with the participation of consultant of communicable and internal diseases at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) and member of the National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (Covid-19) Dr. Jamila Al Salman, Southern Governorate Police Director General Colonel Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa and Heads of Community Centres.

HH the Southern Governor welcomed the audience stressing the governorate’s keenness to coordinate with various security parties and Heads of the Community Centres to boost the health and safety regulations, in line with the directives of Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

He affirmed the role of the Heads of Community Centres in adhering to the precautionary measures announced by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments in accordance with the recommendations of the National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (Covid-19). He pointed out the importance of complying with the security and precautionary measures which shows support to the efforts being exerted to mitigate the spread of the virus.
